About us The story behind a name
ROELMI comes from ROsella, ELeonora and MIchela. HPC stands for Health and Personal Care.
We are a family-owned company with an international business. The name ROELMI is the combination of the names Rosella Malanchin, and the daughters Eleonora and Michela Santus. Through a play on letters and sounds, the name came to represent a strong sense of identity and the ambition to grow, expand and bring the Group’s vision to an international audience. HPC stands for Health and Personal Care, the two main areas in which we operate.
Our headquarters are located in Origgio, near Milan, with commercial offices in both Europe and outside the European Union, including France, the USA, China and South Korea. Our goal is to continue expanding our international presence providing high quality ingredients.
Our work What we do everyday
We specialize in the development of active ingredients and functional ingredients for the personal care market, as well as for the nutraceutical one. Attention to detail is part of our everyday work, together with a strong commitment to quality and respect for the environment.
In the early 2000s, this approach led to the creation of NIP® (Nature is People). Our intern program is dedicated to sustainability-driven good practices and the relationship between people and the Planet.

We have a specific goal in mind: to develop innovative technologies to optimise the use of natural resources and reduce energy waste for the benefit of society. The protection of biodiversity and the responsible use of natural and renewable resources form an important part of this commitment.
Through responsible innovation and ongoing research and development, we formulate and manufacture ingredients whilst paying particular attention to both people and the environment.
For this reason, every single ingredient is backed by in vitro, in vivo and/or clinical validation, enabling brands on international markets to formulate products supported by robust scientific data, compliant with global regulatory requirements and environmentally friendly.
